I know you must have meant lower rpms and higher torque.

I think it's great. The midrange of this new 2.4L must be awesome.

The man credited with designing many of Honda's high revvers (B16, B18C R, F20C etc) said that he wanted to increase the K24A2 balance shaft speed to 18,000 rpm, which is 9,000 rpm at the crank. The video said this new K24 spins to 7,000. I guess he wasn't able to do it.

Arai's goal is to hit 18,000, which is F1 territory. But as it stands, the TSX engine revs high enough. Peak power comes on at 200 hp @ 6,800, torque at 166 lb-ft @ 4,500. And that's more than enough to compete with the BMW in its class, the 325i.

Very true, but they do have to warranty it too.

I think overall honda is just slowly cutting back on its performance cars, it started with the nsx and s2000 then they didnt complete production of the new nsx because they want to go down the more economical route, hopefully though they will come back

I'd be willing to Wager that K24 can rev to 8500 with no problems. Going to have to get more info on the block design.

Has anyone seen a coupe yet, my local has a truckload 2012 of sedans and I want to get a look at a 2 door up close if it's not too far from my area.(Northeast Pa)

I didn't think I would like the 2012 from the pics but I like the interior and the exterior is growing on me.

I would like to see what a new SI looks like in person, so I can still get a new 11 if I don't like them.

I sold my Grand Sport and I'm ready to buy.

Gawd, I hate when people throw around that term as an insult. Do your knuckles drag the ground when you walk?

I hate to say it but that the 2012 Honda Civics are butt ugly. Getting worser and worser and looking much like a Kia in my mind. Engine performance is great but IT'S JUST UGLY. I'll assume that the sales on those cars will be disappointing just like those 2001-2005 Civic Si and probably won't compare to older models of 2006 and newer.

I agree, I'm surprised they didn't do that yet.

What's different about the LSD? I didn't have a chance to watch the video yet.

Yea, honda is beyond retarded on the hid deal... you can spend $35k+ on a fully loaded accord and not get hid's but yet you can get a pos cr-z ex navi and get hid's...it boggles the mind

I can open my mouth anytime i want to because i personally went to Honda dealer to check out the Crz 2 months ago and I asked about the headlights. None come with HIDS. The one I was looking at was an Ex.

Well then the Honda dealer I went to didn't know what they were talking about after all. It sure seemed like projectors but I'm mistaken then.

Honda salesman here... suprisingly we recived 4 sedans about a week ago and we are down to 1... all of them were ex or above. 1 EX 2 EX-L and 1 EX-L + navi... And we are reciving calls on them daily... Now I'm up here in Great Falls, MT. And there selling well... 2 were sold to Airman from the base, and the other one to a mid 50's couple. Coupe's are not due in till late may early June... there on our incoming list allready but don't tell us what color or anything like that... We allready have 2 of the coupe's and 3 SI's Pre-ordered... Granted we have an air force base with about 8.5k Airman, but gives you an idea of who is buying them...

As the only salesman that drives a Honda personally... Don't like them... Cool Tech stuff... not so cool performance...
