Default how to remove eagle rod bolts

ok, i had the machine shop put on the piston rings and eagle rods together. now i've come to a problem. the bolts the hold the rods together are some weird looking nuts. i wanted to know if anyone knows exactly what tool i need to remove the bolts so i can put them in the crank. here is a picture so you can see what i mean.

A 10mm 12 point socket will work on Eagle Rods but the proper socket to use is a 3/8 12 point.
