3" downpipe and an intake manifold should put you right there. That is if you're willing to spend money. Also will have to up the boost a few psi. If not just turn up the boost as much as needed to reach your goal. This assuming your turbo will support it. Arp head studs are something that should be done no matter what. Just a nice precaution. As for safe..Well there are plenty of people making 300 on a stock ls. A good tune is a must.

Helll, you don't need a new Intake manifold to make 300, but you will need better injectors and tune to do it. You can get 300 without any need for an IM.

Yes it's not 100% needed but it will let you achieve more whp very easily. Not a bad upgrade considering you can pick them up used for $80-100.

I thought the heads breathing was bad so instead of internal work I was gonna atleast put a manni on it

More like only 10% needed. With better injectors and a better tune you can beat the need for that Intake manifold. Its almost like you're assuming that the air is being scavanged as opposed to being forced into the combustion chamber.

More power very easily is acheived with a $80-$100 boost controller.

your injectors are already limited. no matter what you do you wont have enough fuel to feed the motor.

Why exactly would you need a new intake manifold? An aftermarket intake manifold on a stock LS motor with a turbo is not going to allow you to "achieve more whp very easily". LOL

TheShodan is correct. If you want 300 all you need is bigger injectors and turn the boost up. Anything else is wasting money to get you to your goal. Torque may hang in there a little longer with a different manifold but not needed for 300.

You're still not getting it. These items make even more efficient power after you get larger injectors and a better tune. That is a better use of your limited time and resources until the baby arrives. You can always add the exhaust later, and a tune will not be needed. (Luckily you're not a subaru)
