Icon6 do i need to replace my clutch

So last month I noticed at random times when driving my rpms will go from like 3000-3500 to like 5000 or so but its not all the time and one time they actually went the opposite way and the car stalled. When I bought the car I was told it had a stage 2 competition clutch in it don't know how long ago it was installed. it mostly does it in 3rd and 4th sometimes 2nd and about two to three times a week. I have had people tell me I need a new clutch and others say they have no idea and I don't want to replace the clutch if it isn't the problem so please help me thank you

when your driving your rpms are supposed to go higher...

as for the drop it sounds like u have a lightweight flywheel since u have a stage 2 competition clutch whoever did it definately put a new light flywheel, so ur rpms will drop and rise FASTER, it will cause to stall if you dont keep the rpms up.

other then this i dont really understand the problem. never really heard of this either lol, can u clarify what you mean a little better?

like when your driving your rpms SHOOT UP without YOU going faster? or they slip while your on the accelerator?, need more details on the actual driving // what your doing when this occurs to properly understand the problem.

Yes my rpms jump up about 1500 with without me accelerating. And the car jerks a little bit to me I would think the clutch is slipping but I have never had that problem to be able to say yeah that's what it is. And yes my rpms will shoot up with out me going faster I can be doing like 35mph and they will shoot up about 1000-1500 and then back to where they were and it will do it like two or three times and then its back to normal

Also have this problem and wonder if the OP sees this happen more when car is at operating temps. I too have never experienced a slipping clutch.
