the maintenance light always does that...

I guess you didn't follow the break in procedure for the clutch? nice one. 400 miles of city driving, shifting BELOW 4k RPM... (some say more than 400, but it doesn't matter much at this point)

I think 400 is on the low end. I still felt sublte vibrations during my downshifts into 2nd until I hit about 500 miles. I haven't tried to lauch my car thought since I put the new clutch in. I used an OEM clutch and had my flywheel resurfaced, so to me my new clutch feels "normal"...

Is your engine stock?

basically just a few boltons.... it slipped bad too... so basically, if i drive nice and shift below 4k it should get better? when i put it in everything was torqued to specs too so i know i put it in right.. and the car shifts fine... a little rough in low gears it shudders a bit but other than that.

I had a f1 6 puck clutch and i didn't break it in so it slipped but onces you start putting more miles on it it should grab fine.
