ITR Steering wheel cruise control?
Assuming you had all the other electronics in place, could you "upgrade" an ITR to have cruise control?
Will the steering wheel take the cruise control button module? Will it plug in and bolt up? Is the wiring already in place, inside the wheel, reel and drive column?
Thanks!

yeah its pretty tough to do cruise control but easy if you know what your doing. Ive never actually done it myself but i kinda watched here and there and kinda gave a hand as my cousin did it to his car at one time.. its a pita imo but well worth it if you do alot of highway driving, if not then you dont need it.. theres alot of stuff you have to do. I just helped him put in the steering reel and the pedals.
If you are mechanically inclined, this should just be an easy 1 day project
you just gotta do your homework and research the info
Edit: by the way, what helped him the most was a helms manual

From: Howcome we park on driveways, and drive on parkways?
isnt there a secondary cable on the throttle cable? and also another tab on the throttle body as well?
Simply put, can you take a non-Cruise control steering from an ITR and put it on a DC2 that already has all the cruise control wiring and modules and just swap the steering wheel switches?
you need the srs reel that has the cruise control wiring. pretty much if you want to have cruise control with out having a headache on wiring, just use all the gsr model cabin harness and driver side frame harness. from there everything is plug in and play.
Wouldn't any DC model work as long as it has factory cruise then? I'm thinking the R is the only one that doesn't have that harness.
I've installed one in a 1990 Honda CRX Si. It was fun and easy! I actually loved the 90 Civic steering wheel better than the stock CRX steering wheel.
It's the same for the Type R... You need: Steering wheel with cruise control mechanism, cruise on/off switch, Pedals (or just the pin switches that are missing compared to your pedals), cruise control CPU, and the actuator under the hood. Get the factory wiring diagram for an Integra with cruise control and connect it!

I know a while back on ITRCA there was a few factory Honda/Acura kits floating around for sale that came with everything needed. You can use the factory wheel, it has the spot for the switch on the side when you take the wheel off you will see it.
I always wanted to do it to mine when I had it but just never actually made it in the car but it is a must if you do any type of highway driving.

I drove 7 hours one way on vacation back in 03 and it totally sucked! Simple things you'd would never think of that I found out like with the added ES motor mount inserts causes just a small amount of vibration to travel down the throttle cable to the accelerator pedal. You won't notice it in the city but continue holding constant pressure for extended time on the hwy and your foot goes numb. It was quite annoying.
