Welcome!

Here are some threads you should look through.

FAQ's and Guidelines for DIY's, parts sites, answers to some of the most-asked questions, etc.

The Picture Thread for exterior / interior ideas.

The Build Links (more interior / exterior ideas)

The Suspension Questions / Comments Thread for ideas of what you should or shouldn't buy.

The Exhaust Questions / Comments Thread for peoples opinions, although your taste may vary. Some people like the ebay fart cans, the rest of us think they're unnecessarily loud junk.

Last, but not least, the Search page. Most questions have been asked at one point or another. It's best to look for answers before making new threads.

What size tires do you have on those C1M's? They look a bit small. I'd rectify that, if it were my car.

fvck the cat haha...go header, intake and exhaust...you wont see a lot of gains in the d17 so my advice is save up and do a k swap...work on the suspension for now and get that k!

They're too small.

Your stock wheel/tire size is 185/70/14. Using 195/50/15 increases your speedometer reading by 6.71% and your revs-per-mile go from 859.8 to 917.5

A 205/55/15 would be better.

You can verify this by using a tire size calculator. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?

To be honest, that's only going to raise the noise level for the car. I would stick with either boost or a K-swap. That way the money is being spent on actual performance gains.

They looked small to begin with. That's why I showed concern.

Well, currently the tires are unsafe. Lowering it will only compound problems. Realistically, without some camber and fender work, there isn't much you're going to be able to do to fit those wheels safely if you lower the car.

Yeah, it changes the attitude of the car ENTIRELY.

Rolling the fenders will help up front, but will be terribly difficult in the rear. The quarter panel mates with the wheel tub at the lip of the quarter panel. This makes it terribly difficult to roll any of the metal flat.

So what do u recomend? get smaller tires and wheels maybe some 16x7s?

I personally prefer the feel of 16's over 15's on the car, as it's far more responsive. But, the problem that comes with 16's is tire availability. You have far more options with 15's or 17's. I'd say stick with the wheels you have (mainly because they're a good wheel and can allow you to run more tire options out there). I had misread the post and thought you were still on 195/50's, so I apologize there. I'd still go a bit wider on the tire size, though, as it'll give you much better driver feedback when on those wheels.
