Default Civic 1999 ex-stock what can i do?

Car: Honda Civic EX Coupe-1999-5 spd

Hey guys im looking to get into super/turbo chargers, right now she runs really smooth (completely stock) and has been treated nice. Previously people said i cant/shouldnt turbo but im wondering what should i do? people say an engine swap people say i can turbo but idk which to trust and i dont want to invest in a turbo if its just gonna mess up my engine or mess up my car.

just looking for some advice to make this girl run a-lot faster.

thanks guys

you can put on a turbo on your car and make 230whp on a stock d-series and drive every day as long as you have a good safe tune, 230whp is a little low but it will keep you in the very safe range

i say 200whp on dynojet is reasonable on completely stock d series. eventually it will fail due to pinky size stock rod.. lol

i say just swap it and keep stock engine/trans for back up lol
