Hey there, i am looking to by a Eg Si hatch.
My question is how can i tell if its a real legit Si?

I know that the Si has rear disc brakes, but what else can i look at to let me know its a real Si?

and must be a hatch too since ex have sunroof too lol since u cant tell the difference between civic

There should be 2 tags on the block. One for the engine code and one for the VIN. Engine code should be D16Z6. If that's good, match the VIN on the block to the dash. Or the firewall, or door jam.

 

In addition to the sunroof and mirrors painted the body color (from 93 on) it should have a clock stock, and 94/95 models have rear speakers stock.

The VIN on the pink slip should be xxxEH3xxxxxxxxxxx I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 

92si had black mirrors, the key is the vin should have eh3 in it

 

civic ex came out as sedans and coupes 92-95 in the us
civic si only came out as a hatch 92-95 in the us
civic si hatches have a sunroof but not power windows

 

EH3 in the vin is the best way, all other 92-95 hatches will have EH2
