Default Si hatch VIN

I went to go see a 95 Si today and the VIN number on the sticker in the door jamb had an EH2, not the usual EH3 of the Si. Could it still possibly be a real Si? It had the sunroof, the D16, and the four wheel disc brakes.

Well I already decided not to get that one because of the EH2, I forgot to look at the firewall VIN though. I checked the one on the drivers dash and in the door jam though. Why would the firewall tell all? You think the other 2 would be changed for some reason?

Is it guaranteed real? According to some online Honda VIN decoders EH2 means that it came with a D15, not a D16. Another side note, when I looked at this supposed Si it has greenish cloth interior. I thought it was supposed to be charcoal or light gray. Is the green tint just an effect from many years of sun?

the key is the EH3 in the VIN.
there are SIs that are EH2s, but they are CDM SIs... meaning USDM EXs.

Si's had Black seats with gray striping. It's not a real Si.
I have the Honda Manual right here. EH2 in Canada came with D15b7,D15z1. That's on page 1-5

The z1 is a 1.5L vtec-e

OP, you should have written down the entire VIN and then checked it on CarFax.com. You don't need to pay anything in order to see what the car actually is.

Gray interiors can turn odd colors when the sun bleaches them. Green and purple are common.

Yeah I know I wish I wrote down the entire VIN. Too bad, cause I'm not going back to look at it anyway, hah. I'll just make sure the Si I buy is an EH3 on all 3 VIN places before I buy it. lol

92-93 Si's had grayish seats with stripes that when faded can look a little green. 94-95 Si's had grayish black seats with rainbow inserts.
