Default Is it the "REAL" '95 civic si?????

My question is if I'm looking for a '95 civic si hatch, how can I tell that I'm getting the REAL si hatch and not just a regular civic hatch?

mainly if it has the real factory sunroof.. its the dead giveaway... they also have rear disc brakes which can be swapped, have the 1.6 vtec motor the little pockets on the door panels.. some others but mostley the sunroof cause all the other stuff can be swapped to make it an "si"

Rear disc brakes, power options, VIN says EH3, and quite a few other things...

The one absolute way to tell is from the VIN. The fourth, fifth and sixth VIN digits will be EH3, as mentioned above.

All the other stuff can be swapped onto another car that isn't a true Si.

From my experience, the vin should have EH3 in it. Then it also will have a D16z6, A/C, power windows, cluster with 9k rpm, 140mph. Usually salvaged or frankensteined to ****. If you find a clean title, mint condition Si Hatch. Check the firewall, fenders, bumper, rear hatch, doors, same color paint inside outside, if its the same vin. Then you found yourself sex on wheels.

Si hatchbacks didn't come with power windows or lock, only power mirrors, and A/C was a dealer option on all Civics. As long as the VIN says EH3 its an Si hatch.

As stated above EH3 vin and the Honda of Canada MFG decal on the radiator support under the hood. All 3 of my EG Si's had both these identifying features that I have not seen on any other trim level hatchback.

Rear disc brakes, and yeah mainly the Sun roof... If its 94-95 also have passenger side air bag... that has nothing to with it being a si but yeah anyhow...

I know here in Canada we can't get 94-95 Si Hatches, only 92-93. Did Honda make 94-95's? (We can get the Si Coupe in those years though)

Oh yeah, you can swap that sunroof. Huge pain in the butt I figure, but still possible.

i had 2 95 si's in my life a red & just recently bought a white one (which is very rare in NY).
95 si's come with driver & passenger airbags, no power windows or power locks(optional), just power mirrors, power sunroof, power steering, a/c, cruise control, four wheel disc, black moldings(no matching color), rpm gauge cluster with 9k, black interior( dash & panels), door panels with pockets, rear speakers and a d16z6. cant think of anything else.

Normally tell tail signs are sunroof, colors, side moldings, d16z6, rear disk brakes and different fabric on the door panels, but I have seen non-si's with just about all of those too but to me thing i would look for if it appears stock is rear disk brakes.

I see. The 95 Si I got specifically for the GSR swap was multicolor'd, salvaged, and frankensteined to shitz. LOL
