B20B swap into 00 SiR - runs but throwing many codes
Okay someone has to help me haha. Alright I have 2000 Civic Sir that had the B16A2. The B16 kinda gave up on me so decided to get a B20B which was relatively a cheap replacement but makes good power and it actually has torque lol. So this past weekend I swapped the B20B in my SiR and now not really sure where to go electrical/ecu wise. The engine started and everything with the B16 OBDII harness and ecu but obviously did not run right and codes were going off everwhere haha. So not really sure what ECU I need to get the engine working properly. Can I use the same harness? Can I just get a B20B or some Integra ECU and it would be plug and play? Please give me some suggestions!
Thanks,
Thanks,
I think a 96-01 b18 computer will run it, but the air/fuel mix will be stupid rich, and need a tune. Im not sure if a CRV computer will work or not. If i was you, id be putting the b16 head on the b20
'99 - '01 5 speed CR-V ECU should work fine, it's the right ECU and they don't have an immobilizer like '00 - '01 Integra ECUs.

Best bet would be a OBDII Integra P75 (LS) it will run the B20 just fine but could use a little tuning to get max power. I've never heard of anyone running the CR-V ECU... that may be a good option although I doubt it is very performance oriented for a car..
The big problem with an LS ECU is you need to either remove the immobilizer if it's a '00 - '01 ECU (which happens to be the one that just plugs right in) or use either an OBD1 or OBD2A ECU which will require a conversion harness. No one uses CR-V ECUs but i'm really not sure why, other than that most of them are automatics. I honestly can't think of any good reason not to use one, and like I said they are for some reason I can't understand not immobilizer equipped.
