is anyone elses clear coat failing? i have a 2007 nhbp si and the clear cloat is peeling off on the roof. has anyone had this covered underwarranty?

 

I have a round spot on the roof at the edge of the rear window that the clear is flaking off.... Is the honda warranty for paint longer than 3/36? Mine is fbp...

 

my hood has developed cracking on it. i think its called crows feet. it looks like this * all over the hood

 

I am not sure if this is covered but I noticed this on my roof as well. It kind of looks like it is bubbling up.

 

To all that posted so far, are all your cars black??

 

I have both the crows feet and several bubbles on my hood...2006 civic EX Galaxy Gray.

I keep it in the garage, at work and at home.

 

take it to the dealership. some of them are warrantying it. i got mine done under warranty 2 years after i bought my car. take it to multiple dealerships and just say this is "unacceptable". one of them will give in.

yeah my car is black. The tech told me to bring it back on a weekday to have the manager take a look at it. They are going to take pictures to send to honda and hopefully have it warrented. my car is slightly more than 3 years old so they said it would be a "possible goodwill" warranty. BUt i think they should cover the paint nonetheless because paint failure does not just happen overnight, it has been a problem since the begning just not as apparent and only recently did it start peeling so bad.

 

came in to honda today, had the manager look at it and luckily one of the managers from american honda was on site. They looked at my car and said they will be doing in covered under 'goodwill' since it was 3 or 4 months outside of the warranty.!! so they will be painting the roof and the quarter panel. im happy that honda backs up their work.

 

How often did you wash and wax your car? what type of wax did you use if you waxed it?

Had the rear wing on my 09 NHBP the clear coat was peelling off they took it in and repainted it. The dent fairy even came along and removed the quarter pannel dent from my wife backing into it 1 week after I got it. They covered it all almost a year after I got the car

 

I have a 2006 Black Si with flaking/crows feet/whatever the hell they're calling it.........all over the hood and front part of the fenders. Took it to the dealership today just out of a "what the hell" moment. They are telling me to take it to a paint shop to get an estimate so i'm hoping that leads to good news.

The car has 60K miles on it.
