MY civic has a d16z6 motor but the stock LX auto tranny. I found a cheap(ish) manual out of an EX and was wondering what it would to do to my gas millage. I do about 90% highway driving @ an avg of 70mpg and im currently getting about 29mpg (im sure i could get better if i kept my foot out of it)

 

You'll probably gain a little, you'll gain significantly with a DX/LX tranny.

 

29mpg seems kinda low. My D16z6 manual gets anywhere from 32-37 mpg on the hwy if I watch my speed.

 

as long as its not going down, thats all i care... Its a DD right now, but in the next year or to, im probably going to put in a small turbo, depending on the condition of the engine then. so i kinna need to manual and couldnt really pass up the price
