Default The P3DRO build thread

Alright, so I got a 91 civic hatch in January. I basically bought it for a daily, but my girl has always wanted one, so now she has something to work on. It was in rough shape, but we are slowly getting it cleaned up and in good working condition. The car ran, but crappy when I bought it, 70 miles later it broke down, and I had it towed to my house, and then shortly after changing the fuel filter, I just decided to have it towed to my family mechanic because it was too cold for me to work on it, and I had no idea what to do with it at first. Then I started brainstorming, bought an ebay dizzy and it sorta worked. Took the old dizzy and rebuilt it. I had my buddy come over and help me check the timing. We found it was 14 degrees retarded from TDC. So we checked the cam timing it was dead on. So we tried to advance the distributor and it moved like 4 degrees. So we put the rebuilt distributor in and it ran near perfect. 2 degrees advanced from TDC. So the girlfriend and I have been cleaning up the front end. She named the car Pedro, so i bought her a JDM plate with P3DRO on the plate. I'll make this a much cleaner build thread, but I'm just going to compile 3 months of photos right at the end of the text for this. The previous owner didnt know much about cars, so the car was trashed. He tried body work and failed, so now I'm gunna have to re paint the whole car. For now I'm going to spraybomb it white, just to look even since he painted a really bright color over top of the dull white from honda. We cut out all the broken grille and I smoothed it out and we zip tie stitched the cracked part back together. So heres our progress so far.

Alright more to come as we get a chance to work on it. I promise the rest of this build will be a little better organized.

Thats the idea behind it, guess its not something many honda guys do, I'm a 240 guy, so this build may get a little wild, all depends what opportunities come up.

You going to keep the stock engine and do a multiport swap? Or put a whole different motor in it?

I personally wouldn't go with that size wheel on an EF. It'll look, IMO, dumb. 15's are perfect for our cars although I have seen some 16's, very few, look good on EF's. a 15x7 +25 or 30 would be PERFECT!

But it's your car to do whatever you want with it! Good luck!

Oh btw, I have a 99% complete MPFI swap for sale
