Default help with my Sisters 94' SI

obviously start out with the normal I/H/E throw on a high flow cat.

for the best price and quality what would you guys suggest.

getting all 3 or 4 at once and fire them together right on the car.

best price, best hp gain, and best fit.

also-she's up in norcal "oakley, brentwood, pitsburg area" if anyone knows of some good shops?
I'd help her out more, but I'm not a prelude guy (ITR guy) and I live about 3,500 miles away.
Thanks for the help.

anyone out there with an si that can throw me some or
for certain products.
I know what to stay away from as far as stuff for the ITR but not the prelude.
I know they are both Honda, but they totally different engines.

If you want to go with a fairly "generic" set-up, you can go with this one:
AEM CAI
DC Ceramic
Greddy SP

That is the set-up on my 94 Si Vtec and I'm really happy with it. The SP exhaust is not too loud so the neighbors will not be complaining. (If you have it WOT, it's a different story)

If you want to get into internals, check out Blacktrax.net but they are in Milpitas, about 45 minutes from Oakley or so.

I don't know about the H23 header, but I know the H22 header almost works better than an aftermarket on mild apps.

Does anyone know if the H22 exhaust manifold will fit the H23?

By the way... stay away from DC Sports. Why pay $3-400 for a 1whp gain?

The H23 and H22 exhaust manifolds are NOT interchangeable. As for the stock H23 manifold: IT SUCKS. It's a cast p.o.s. I'd recomment the DC, that's what I've got and it'll give you fairly good gains. There aren't too many options with what header you can get anyway. For Intake, I recommend either the AEM CAI or the Injen CAI. I've got the AEM, however, both are nice pieces that will give good gains. As for exhaust, it's mostly personal preference. You won't gain TOO much from an exhaust, no matter which one you get. I was lucky enough to get an RS*R.

Not sure where you got your information from, but there is NO WAY a DC Header gives you 1whp gain.

http://prelude.vtec.net/gen4/

Check the link above and click on the performance section. The guy has a dyno chart with a before/after DC Header change.

Based upon his set-up, he received +7.1 HP & +3.8ft-lbs of torque. (From the DYNO)

Not bad for a bolt on... The stock manifold sucks and weighs a ton and retains a bunch of heat.

I had a Dc header on my H23A1, Best bolt-on I had for it. You could easly tell the diffance.

But I think he was talking about the Stock H22A Header Vs. Dc header. If you look at the Dc header for the Si, its almost exact copy of the Stock Vtec Header.
