New/Old member...couple questions
Hey Guys,
I use to be on the forums quite often under a different name back in 2002-2004 or so. Its been a long time, but i recently just purchased a nice used civic for an economic car. I use to be into the whole mod thing back in the day,but i have really forgot quite a bit of info since then. Anyways i picked up a 96 civic ex coupe 5speed with 169k on it for $2600.The car spent the majority of its life in the south and has no rust or anything wrong it. All original car,and very clean.
Anyways i was wondering, I noticed some parts i had laying around from previous cars that i forgot about. I believe i have a skunk2 intake manifold and DC header and probably some other stuff. Is the intake manifold worth putting on?Will i notice any difference? Or should it be packaged together with a cam and free flowing exhaust and intake? I already serviced the car with new fluids/tune up so it should be good to go.Thanks for your help!

NOT worth it on a D-series. Go ahead and put that stuff on and you will need a tune to take advantage of it. Expect to pay $300 for that at least and additional money FIRST to get a chipped and socketed ECU with a basemap on it. After you do all that be prepared to get pissed as minivans still leave you when the light turns green.
