cut spring on 1piece coilovers
ok first i want to say yes i know cutting springs is a taboo but my car has a mean tilt to it... in the back both perches are stuck and one side is lower than the other soooooo i was wondering how bad it would be to cut the spring on the side that is higher to even out the car. now this will only be for a month or two until i buy a new suspension. bought the car this way and i need the car on the road asap. so let me know if ill die or something buy doing this.
Why not wait the 2 months until you can get a new suspension? Is it really so jacked up on that corner that the car is undriveable?
Coilover springs have a flat bottom to sit flush and even on the perch. Cutting the spring will result in the spring touching the perch only at one, small point(where the cut is). I could see this being pretty dangerous. I wouldn't do it...

If you can't raise the low side, just lower the high side for now.
Or man up and un-stick the stuck collars with brute force and penetrating fluid.
Either way, get the car aligned when you're done messing with it, or you'll kill the tires in no time.

both sides are stuck where they are and the car isnt undriveable but its really bad how it sit the kid before me ****ed everything up and ive tried EVERYTHING to get them unstuck either to raise or lower it and i cant wait 2 months to get this fixed because i need a running car now
Cutting them should not really be considered...
Here is a coilover springs. Notice the flat and even top/bottom? This is so it sits flush on top of the spring perch.

Here is a typical lowering spring. This is not flat and even. The spring is round and the end of the spring sits into a grove on the spring perch. If you cut your coilover springs, it'll end up like this which will not sit right on the spring perch..

If you can't get the perches unstuck, you're pretty much left with dealing with how it is for a couple months or buy the new suspension sooner than you expected..
