2001 Honda Civic LX - Sputter and now no power
It started sputtering recently and I asked Honda service to check the issue and they indicated that battery is fine and connectivity seems OK. But today when I started my car, it sputtered again and lost power entirely.
Any idea what may needs to be replaced. I am thinking spark plug, plug wire...
Please help.

Did they check the fuel pressure?
How many miles are on the car?
What kind of maintenance have you done to it?
Have you ever cleaned the IACV? (Idle Air Control Valve)
Have you checked for any vacuum leaks?
Does the car stall only at idle, or does it stall even if you push on the throttle?
Was the MIL (check engine light) doing anything? Flashing or otherwise on?
These cars don't have plug wires, by the way.

If Honda checked the ECU and it was good, as well as the battery, I'd start checking for loose or bad grounds and have the alternator tested. (as noted)
Just a heads up, I remember one guy having his alternator tested and they said it was good. Turns out that it really wasn't.
