My car has power locks but the driver's side doesn't work. You can lock it by hand or with the key just not with the button or keyless entry. What would cause this?

 

check the relay or try the fues

 

The passenger side works. If the fuse was bad it wouldn't work either would it? I can hear it click it just doesn't move.

 

Where are the relays? Is there one for each door? Hasn't anyone had this problem and fixed it?

BUMP^ I am having a similiar problem with my passenger side. It unlocks with key or by hand, although with some difficulty and it always tries to relock itself if the handle isn't opened in time. It just gets stuck in a vicious cycle if I try to use the power locks, it clicks as if trying to unlock and then doesn't move the latch so the system automatically relocks it a few times.

 

I went to a honda dealer and they told me it was the actuator. After I buy one and install it I'll repost if that's the problem.

 

i've asked this before but i'm too lazy to look it up again. what would cause the door lock to not lock manually but works fine with the key and the remote?

 

take off the door panel and check the lock mechanism. damn.

 

If this only happens for the driver's door, you need to lift the inner or outer handle to lock the door.

 

do you have an aftermarket stereo installed by any chance?

Im having the same problem. Not having the stock radio causes problems with the keyless remote correct?

 

My car does the same thing but it's my driver side that's messed up. and I have a sedan and my back doors don't work either. only the passenger one.

 

im having this problem too, but my passanger side doesnt lock automatically. i haveto open the lever and then lock it, to lock it from the inside

not to jack ur thread but im having a similar issue. when opening the car door from the outside with the key, only the driver's door opens. also the door lock switch inside on the driver's door does not work so i figured it was the actuator.

can somebody post pics of the actuator and its location inside the door? I pulled down the doors of my 2000 Civic Si Coupe but i'm not sure what it looks like or if the actuators are even in my doors

That is correct. One most models, you need to have the stock radio in order for the keyless remote to work.
