My question is what do i need to pass smog with a 99 LS motor and Tranny.. do i need power steering and A/C? i have a 99 honda civic ex but have a swap which is a 99 LS motor with tranny.

I NEED HELP!! new to this.. oh and the computer is jumped to obd1.. i need to pass smog and dont want to buy my original d16y8 motor i just want to keep my LS in my car i know i need to state ref the car i'm from CA! but besides needing to state ref what else would i need

 

did you already fail the smog inspection once?

 

Take it for inspection and see if it passes. If it doesn't, find out where it's failing and that should give you some idea on what needs to be addressed.

 

You have to run an '00 - '01 P75 (LS) ECU or run a jumper harness and a '99 P75 (last time I checked CA wouldn't let you run a jumper harness though) you will need to have the immobilizer removed and replaced with a dummy unit if using an '00 - '01 ECU. You don't need A/C or P/S (although both are easy to keep with this swap)
