Hello all I am in need of some help once again Recent when I bought my 93 del sol S that has the d16z6 in it, the vtec solenoid wasnt hooked up and the guy told me I needed the harness that runs from the vtec solenoid to the ecu and a new vtec ecu for it. Now I'm pretty sure what I need is the p28 ecu and a vtec d16z6 wiring harness but before I buy this I wanted to make sure that this is what i need and ALL i will need to do this. Are there any adapters or anything else that i will need? Sorry if this is a stupid question just want to be sure

You don't need the whole harness just a subharness that connects the VTEC solenoid and VTEC pressure switch. Check my signature below if you are unsure. But that with the P28 is all you will need.

 

Thank you for the information. Today I ordered the harness from you and picked up a p28 off craigslist. While removing the p06 I took a look at the harness and A4 (orange/white i believe) already has the wire in it so I would just splice it into that wire correct? Or is there someone closer under the hood to connect it? Also, I couldnt find the knock sensor. Thanks for your help again

 

you could splice if you like, or remove the pin using this guide and plug in the pins thats are sent with the harness

 

Hey just one last question. The purple wire coming off the harness I ordered from you with the O ring connector, this is a ground correct? or am i wrong?
