honda odyssey van issue. majority of the indicator on dash lights up
i got a problem with my 2000 odyssey van. majority if not all of the indicator light are on and stays on even while driving. anyone know what's going on? it happen while i was driving. has been on for a couple days now.
I am pretty sure that all indicator lights [maint. required, brake, ABS, oil pressure CEL, and low fuel] share a common 12V+ circuit, the cruise control indicator and SRS indicator will most likely also use the same 12V+ source, although through other circuits, but are all triggered by diff. grounds, the charge light 12V+ is another circuit completely.
So it will make a diff. which lights are in the "majority if not all of the indicator light" on what may possibly be wrong, what indicator lights do not come on?
Normally when things go wrong with electrical, [weird things as opposed not working] it is a grounding issue, because ground is common and most often "shared".
In your case the pos.(+) side shares the same 12V+ source and the grounds, although common, are not shared at all and are in fact independent and isolated from each other, so you would think that it can't be a grounding problem, I mean all those sensors could not fail at the same time and fail in the "closed" position, [grounded].
However, I would still check the dash harness harness grounds, only because i can't think of anything else at this time. 94

i just had the same problem with my dads 2001 Odyssey
all the red lights in the dash were on.
then later at night ABS and traction light came one.
later when i was going home the car was stalling at red light and losing power.
we have replaced the battery 2 years ago so i am guessing its a bad alternator.
any other ideas?
thanks
