HELP- Lights in my dash don't light up...
i got a new head unit installed... and now my lights turn on but the gauges in the cluster don't light up, and my fog light switch doesn't light up, also my headlights don't flash when i hit the alarm... but the head lights and signals work normal...
i tried changing the fuses in the fuse box inside the car, i changed the instrumental lights still nothing, any suggestions?

Holy ****. I encountered a similar problem last night.. except my tail lights won't turn on.. When i put my foot on the gas at a stop light, my guage lights turned off and someone told me that my tailights aren't on.. the weird thing is when I put my foot on the brakes, the brake lights turn on? Aren't the brake lightss the same lights as the tail lights? I replaced the tailight fuse and still no light.. Must fix the problem by tonight cuz i got pulled over on my way home..

Have you recently done any kind of work to the car?
Some alarms have their own fuses for things like that.
Check the fuse for your dash lights.
Where is the fog lights switch connected to (where does it get power and ground)?
Take off the rear panel cover (i think its about 7 pop up thingies) and make sure the tail ground is secured correctly.
What exactly works and what doesnt?

Re: HELP- Lights in my dash don't light up... (integra-modder)
I recently installed some fog lights and a cheap *** alarm system.. Do you think its the alarm thats causing the problem? because my buddy checked the talight fuse and replaced with a new one and still = no light. My brake lights work, turn signals work, hazard lights work, but i have no running tail lights.. I got to fix this problem ASAP before I go to work.. i already got pulled over and i might get a ticket the 2nd time..
Please help!!

have you checked the bulbs just in case?
I know that my electrical system is different from yours (< or > 98), but for me, the number 2 empty slot on the fuse box (second from left) is a connection for the lights. If you take a lead to connect the 1 slot to the second slot it should "hot wire" the parking lights. this will give you full power to them. Then its just checking lights.

i have a 2000 teg, the foglights always worked and so did the switch that lit up, but after i got my new head unit, no dash lights, bulbs are fine, i switched fuses too, theres something messed up that connects to the dash lights/fog light switch/and alarm that makes the lights flash when it is activated, hopefully i gonna have it fixed tommorow, its annoying driving at night not knowing how fast ur going and having to shift too... but for tonight my alternative is a glowstick taped to the cluster

from the sound of things (what doesn't work) it sounds like your parking lights and illumination is messed up .. illumination meaning.. when you turn on your parking lights..the 'illumination" that tells the interior lights to turn on and the head unit to "dim" at night if you have that feature... recheck ALL your wiring especially the illumination wire for the head unit since after this install your stuff started not working... also check the fuses for the head unit, alarm, and the stock fuses along w/ looking for any cut/frayed wiring...

does your radio work, check your back up fuse in your engine compartment. check to see if your cigerett light still works. Had the same problem, switched out fuses and worked. Make sure you look at all the fuses, not just the instrament cluster fuse. good luck

Integra Dash Lights: post Fog Light install.
Similar Problem: (2000 LS)
Installed OEM Integra Fog Lights today; Now my instrument cluster will not light up, AC controls will not back-light, and the clock will not dim when I turn on the headlights.
All of the Lamps in the dash (Cruise, turn signals, Maint. Required, Seatbelt, etc.) work fine. Clock turns on but won't dim. LED's for each AC-related switch activate fine. Fog lights, and their switch LED activate properly.
I suspect a bad ground or I may have tugged on the dimmer switch's harness and loosened a connector. Haven't checked fuses yet.
I'll troubleshoot this tomorrow, let you know how it goes.

yea, if the clock isnt dimming, that means its not getting a 12v input from the lights telling it to dim. do your low beams work? have you checked a fuse just to be safe?

Integra Dash Lights: post Fog Light install. (WOTTEG)
I found my problem.
Under-Dash fuse 30 had blown.
Looked it up in the circuit diagram and the cigarette lighter is powered through this fuse. I inspected the wiring to the cigarette lighter and sure enough. I had pinched it when re-installing my DC-AC inverter. (Where the ash tray used to be). One of the cigarette lighter wires hed become grounded. This caused the blown fuse, and the problem described above.

did you clipped the stock harness?
for about $20.00 you could have gotten a
harness adaptor at circuit city.
and thats priceless...
well make sure you actually have a good ground
take a test light
and chck wires again
mostlikely your neg
ign on when key is turn to on possition
constant positive always on if key is out
