Icon2 GSR 11:1 comp. built head, turbo questions

I have a Turbo'd B16A2 in my SI right now but i just bought a freshly rebuilt GSR with an LS crank and 11:1 high compression pistons. Im in the middle of building my B16 head- (port, polish, 3 angle valve job, CTR cams, etc.) and am looking to get around 350whp. but what my question now is what should I do to the motor (other than an amazing tune) to try to insure that my motor isnt going to blow?

the same thing every s2k and itr owner has done with the same compression

1. keep intake air temps down as much as possible
2. keep the engine cool
3. stay conservative with the tune {in fact tuning it on a 90deg day isn't a bad idea}

an optional is running e85 if it's possible

Well, you DO realize that running that B16 head is going to lower the compression from what is is with that GS-R head.

I didnt realize that. I always just figured that a GSR head was more open than a virgin B16 head.

what is the weak part of a gsr? do i really have anything to worry about as far as the sleaves dislodging?

you can use the b16 head on that gsr bottom and a little thicker headgasket from cometic to easily get you down to 10.5:1 compression would be be fine for a 350whp daily driver.
