Tach install problem
Tapped into the blue tach wire perfectly but I'm having trouble finding a good ground and power wire. Search is vague and everyone responds along the lines of "DURR YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO?" I have this tach, http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/black...ift-light.aspx and I tapped into my cruise control switch for the sake of testing it, set the RPM and it won't flash at set RPM when I reach it.. I'm assuming I need a better ground and or power. Suggestions? Something in the cluster area preferred; I'm not going to run it straight to the battery with a switch or run the ground into the engine compartment.
I haven't installed a separate tach before but I remember when I installed my fog lights, I grounded the wire to the steering column. Haven't had any problems with it being there. So maybe you should try that. And maybe for the power wire you can plug it into the fuse box under the steering wheel. I think they're is an accessory plug in for hot only when in "RUN"
