Kirkey seat Brackets
Can any of you guys using the kirkey seats give me some pointers on how you mounted your seats or fabbed your brackets. Pics would be wonderful. I have an EK chassis
All I did was use spacers and some steel strap. I put the strap from slider to slider, one in the front, one in the back. I used spacers because one of my sliders sits lower than the other (89 Civic), to keep it level across. Then bolted the seat to the strap. Its nice and square, sturdy, and simple. And adjustable.
I use a seat bracket made for after market seats in civics weld another bar to the center to match size of the kirkey seat drill the holes in the seat and bolt down, then made another braket to mount the back rest to the roll cage. this is a fixed mounting and sits very low. I'm 6ft 1 in. tall.
i got a bracket off ebay.
this is the outside of mine.

the inside

what the bracket looks like

now i also have the pro drag version. the bottom is not flat. i know a couple people that just ran metal across the bottom of the bracket to mount the economy drag style seat which has a flat bottom
