2002 civic ex 1.7 single cam
my check engine light flashes and battery light is on and runs good then when i hit the gas check engine light goes solid and battery light goes off and the car wont rev out it stumbles when ya give it gas
Check the alternator belt. Make sure it's tight.
Try resetting the ECU by removing fuse #6 (15 amp) from the fuse box under the hood. Wait 30 seconds before putting it back in.
If the MIL (check engine light) comes back on, or the car goes back into limp mode, have it scanned and post the codes here.

^^ Yeah, I doubt that anybody is gonna walk ya thru it as there are literally 12-15 pages of diagnostics procedures of the DLC circuit in the service manual.
EDIT: On second thought, check to make sure everything is plugged in and making good connections at the ECM/PCM first.
