Running rich cant figure out the problem
OK so i recently replaced my b16 intake manifold with a type r, put a hondata gasket and heatshield throttle body gasket and 68mm throttle body. Heres the problem im running rich as hell, i have a fuel pressure regulator which i have set to about 40psi. At start up the engine idles great about 1k than it shoots up to about 2k and stays and the check engine light comes on. So here are a few possiblity, i have a vaccume leak, my map sensor is bad, my injectors are bad? anyone have any ideas? the only thing i can think of right now is that i have a vacume leak because before anything i had tighten the intake manifold gasket (hondata heat sheild) and installed the throttle body gasket when all these problems started to happen so let me know guys thanks

it idles high all the time, i think its my map sensor because when i unplug it while the car is running nothing changes? i havnt checked the the code yet but i have a good feeling i know what it is but we will see thanks
i believe most injectors run at 43psi, i found that its my map sensor thats causing havic hopfully i can change it today and find out offically if that is the problem
Yeah, make sure your at 43.3 psi or throw a stock fpr on there unless you need it which if your stock you don't. A messed up map sensor will throw a lot off so if your map is messed up your problem will be solved by fixing that.

ok not my map sensor fml! mayb tps? my buddy says a bad tps sensor will tell your ecu to deliver more fuel causing it to run rich? what about the o2 sensor?
if your o2 sensor is messed up that could be the problem for example my ls is obd2 but I only have 1 o2 on it and I around 1100 which its only the second one if the first o2 is messed up it might cause it to idle higher. Vacuum leaks or anything? and yes a bad tps could be but they rarely mess up.
found the problem u will never guess this! so i have a stp 68mm throttle body if u guy know they relocated the map sensor on it from the top of the tb to the bottom, well heres the problem if u dont have a stp gasket the map sensor hole is left open for all the air to leak out of the tb haha FML so theres the mystery prob check your gasket if u have the same problem! thanks everyone for the help
