Re wiring climate controls buttom
so here is the thing. i have a 2000 si w/o ac and for some od reason my fan wont turn on automatically so i wanna wire it into that button. is there a write up on how to do so. or can someone give me a hand.
Are you talking about the rad fan, or the blower fan?
Also what "button" do you waant to connect the "fan" to and why, why not just fix the problem? 94

Id like to find this out as well. Id like to wire an electric heater core to my a/c button. So when the blower motor is on and i press the "a.c" button then my heat comes on. I am deleting the traditional heater core.
Yours is easy, the output from A/C switch is a ground, [blower switch must be on one of the speeds for A/C switch to work] use the A/C switch output to control a relay, to #85 of relay connect #86 of relay to 12V+ ign., [hot in run], the output of relay, [power or ground] goes to electric, [ceramic] heater. 94

sorry for the delay on getting back on here. not sure what the problem is. for now the fan is always on but id like to be able to turn the blower on inside the car which than i can press the ac button and that rad fan kicks on. couldnt you just tap into the wiring on the back of the button??
I am still not understanding what the problem is.
If the rad fan is wired to stay on all the time, why not fix it so it works properly.
Are you saying the blower motor is not working, if so why not just fix it so it works properly.
Both the above are pretty simple systems and easily fixed. 94

The blower and all the climate controls work just fine. my friend and i just cant find the problem. we think its the fuse panel under the hood cause the fan fuse relay is dead. so for now its wired to be on all the time. its no big deal. was just curious if you can make the ac button an on and off switch
Yes you can, exactly the same way C16efsedan is, except you will wire the A/C switch output, [should be a blue/red] to the rad fan control relays control, [should be a green].
The rad fan circuit is a pretty simple one, a ground is supplied by the "Engine Coolent Temperature" switch to the "Rad Fan Control" relay, [green lead] the RFR then supplies 12V+ to the rad fan.
Have you checked the function of the ECT switch to see if it is the problem with the rad fan?
How have you wired the rad fan to run full time now? 94
