Default finishing a paint job

well, i finally got around to getting to old da painted. did the body work myself then had a friend who works at a shop primer it and spray it white. it was a 1 stage white. anyway, after it dried i had to get it outta there, so i have it in my garage now. my question is, after painting, what do you need to do to finish the job properly? (ie wetsand, if so what grit, or buff)

thats the problem with single stage....you can't do anything with it....its a crap paintjob. use base and clear next time so u can sand out imperfections and orange peel.

Why would you not be able to cut and buff single stage?

I finally found time for getting to elderly painted. did the body work myself then had a mate who works at a shop primer it and spray it white. it was a one stage white. anyway, after it dried i had to get it out a there, so i have it in my garage now. my query is, after painting, what do you require to do to finish the job properly.

Depends on how it looks...if his paint job came out perfectly smooth (and you're happy with) then just leave it how it is and try to let it cure for a few days. If it has has trash in it or orange peel, then you can sand it smooth and buff after it cures.
