Hi everyone, I have a question / problem with my Precision 600hp intercooler.
This setup is on a 96 civic with a B18c. I had the shop that tuned the car also install the turbo and intercooler. The problem is that the bottom of the intercooler sits about 2 inches below the front bumper. My question is, can I do anything about it? I was kinda looking at it and was wondering can I angle it at the top and pull it up, (I have even thought so much as to reverse it,flip it) lol Now I do realize that I'm not top mechanic or anything, I just want to try to do this my self.
Again I just need to find a way to raise the intercooler up about 2" but it looks like the top of the intercooler is touching the bottom of a metal brace???
Thank you for looking and I will take any advice

lol, i'm serious. Same thing happened with my precision 600hp. It was showing like an inch. Bought a cheap mugen style lip (type R one won't work) for $40 and mounted it in 5 minutes. No more intercooler showing and didn't need to modify my intercooler mounts/piping etc. Plus it looks nicer with the lip in my opinion.

only thing with your intercooler hanging that low, even with a lip is it takes one mistake to trash a very expensive intercooler....
especially if you're stupid low

Dont think I have seen too many cars with a big intercooler NOT have to run a lip to hide it, just the way it is...my new core sticks out below my bumper almost 3" and its mounted as high as possible.

Thanks to everyone who replied, I already ordered a mugen lip and I'm going to try to cover it up, I really dont want to grind the bumper support, but if I have to I will

you will have to cut the bumper support. I remove them all together...they really dont do much above 10mph. a simply replace the bumper support with the intercooler (make brackets that bolt to the oem bumper support location)
I have to run a front lip in order to hide my intercooler. However, I have a 99-00 EK front with fog lights also. You want to talk about suck, fitting an intercooler, piping, and fog lights really sucks.
The 600 hp precision has the inlets and outlets centered so flipping it will do nothing.I have the same intercooler on my EM1 and I didnt even have to touch the bumper support and the intercooler is hidden perfectly behind the bumper without any modification?
I like the cut of your jib! lol I never thought of doing that with mine. I have a EK with a SiR front end and fogs. I was wondering how I was going to fit everything, my intercooler has inlet/outlet on one side so this should work for me. Glad I read this thread.
