i have a 93 civic cx hatch with the d15b8, i want to swap for something with more power, also im lookin for something cheap, i read up on the thread here on swaps but i was looking for some advice from someone with experience.

 

Define cheap.
Define more power.

 

maybe around 200-250 hp, and im new to the swap scene so im not totally sure, maybe 2 grand?

find a vtec head and a turbo kit:

200hp for less than ~1500$

t56 rolls royce motor. puts out 5 million pounds of thrust. you will probly spin thru 4th but get some slick sand u will be fine

 

250HP equate to 230ish WHP. thats a 12 second car. PLENTY FAST. i'd go K. as a kid i had B series swapped cars. H series were being experimented with when i left the honda scene. from everything ive read the K series is far superior than the B and H series engines.

with that being said id go K20A/a2/Z1/Z2/Z3/Z4 with a TSX intake camshaft and Kpro.

youll easily land and estimated 230WHP and 170WTQ.

 

Anything has more power than the D15B8, staying D-Series is the cheapest route, and I speak from personal experience.
