Re: 93 civic cx swap? (turbotypeR)
no offense dude
but i hope this is your first engine swap.
because if you OWN A SHOP that does this and you cant answer these questions? i feel sorry for you and your customers. I dont want to sound like an *******, sorry if i do.
Now, here we go.
his/your first plan of action is get the swap. places like
http://www.hondamotorsonline.com
http://www.jdmhondaparts.com
sell the full b18b swap for 2300~ and a b18c swap for 3300~. that will come with everything your gonna need. as for wiring, all you need to do is take the harness off the stock motor and put it on the new engine and run the vtec wires (a CX may have vtec-e so you may not need the wires, im not sure on that. worst case you run 2 wires. maybe a knock sensor wire.)
as for the gauge cluster all you need to do is get an EX cluster from a 92-95 and it will plug right in and everything will work fine.
as for labor it depends on the area, 500-700 is average depending on how quality the work is.
good luck.
the swap is relativley easy and can be accomplished by anyone with half a brain. i did my swap in about 3 days and this was before i did ANY work on my car. its cake. all you need is a helms.
