Hello!

Hopefully I'm not doubling the threads, but couldn't find anything related, my fingers are bleeding from searching so hard over the net :D

I've been preparing to mount my plasma gauges on my 96' Del Sol. I'ver checked a lot of how-tos on how to do it and in every tutorial it says you just pop the plasma faces over the needle and than put it back together (wire it properly and so on).

I've bought my plasma over ebay (yes, it is specified it is for a Del Sol with D16 engine) but I have a small problem, those faces won't go over the needles.

So I was wondering...can I just cut the hole of the plasma faces a little bigger? Or is there any way to take of the needles so I don't brake them?

I had a set of these waaaaay back in the day but on the Prelude. I had to get the holes over the tips of the needles and then slide the faces on. They'll get old pretty fast.

 

Well i actually was looking for a "stock" look plasma faces, just because at the moment I have a LED lighting on the gauges....and I just can't watch how unevenly they glow in there...so my alternative was a stock looking plasma :D

The problem there is because the hole on the faces is to small to get it over the needles

 

or you can run LED strips in the back. no hot spots and brighter then sin.
search more theres tons more you can do.
theres a reason you don't see plasma glows used anymore.
