my car is burning oil! wut could be the problem??!! hook it up!
well i keep checking my dip stick and i know for sure now im burning oil! i did an oil change 2weeks ago, checked the dip stick last week! and it was barely on the dip stick, so i pured more oil in. this morning i check the dip stick again! it was too barely on the stick, so im for sure im burning oil. theres no leak any where under the engine, the car was putting black smoke out of the exhust when i punch the gas, and tiny oil spits out, very tiny! out of the exhust, i just thought the black smoke is b/c im running straight pipe!. wut can be the problem! the car idles smooth, and runs strong!
this is wut i have:
b18c1 vtec chipped p28 intake, fuel rail, fuel regulator, and v-afc.
any help would be great!!!

Black smoke is caused by a rich condition, which is normal in our cars. If you're burning oil, you should see bluish-white smoke from the exhaust. Pull your plugs & tell us what they look like.
Tony, that link doesn't work dude.
anybody else can hook it up on the problem?

haha. go check your cylinders with a borescope. scored cylinder wall buddy
need to rebore .0020 of an inch. size 81.5 mm. next replace with JDM p30 sir2 del sol pistons. replace vavle seals and get headwork.

myhatchchrips. That's way wrong. First off, Honda doesn't make .50mm over pistons. .25mm over is a big as you want to go on stock sleeves. That's way too big. And who overbores in standard units to overbore a block which needs metric oversized pistons. What does headwork have to do with burning oil? Instead of taking the entire head of and checking w/ a borescope, you could just do a leak down test and a compression test. How bout that.

ok just finished checking my spark plugs, 1 cylinder black tips, 2 cylinder same thing, 3 cylinder same thing but it has tiny amount of wut appears to be oil. on the tread of the plugs. 4 cylinder look exaclty like number 1 and 2
also where can i get a borescope? or who can do it?

The oil on the threads is probably from oil leaking into the spark plug hole from the seal between the valve cover & head. This is not a big concern now but can turn into one if it's not remedied eventually. If this were the root of your problem, though, that plug hole would have been filled with oil - literally. So we'll leave that alone for now - but remember it's there & replace those grommets eventually.
If it's a dull black, normally, that's caused by a weak ignition, running very rich, or using the wrong heat range plug, (usually one of the latter before it's the ignition). However, it's possible that you're getting just enough oil in your cylinders to blacken the plugs, but it's all being burnt in the combustion process. Hard to say with a dull black.
If it's a shiny black, then you're getting so much oil into those cylinders that it's hindering the combustion process, and obviously, not burning all the oil that's being taken into the chambers. It sounds like that's not the case here though. If it were, you would have clouds of white smoke billowing out of your exhaust.
You probably need new valve seals or rings. How many miles do you have on the car?
Borescope's are $200+ for the CHEAP ones! If you're going to buy a tool to help diagnose this, get a valve spring compressor for $50, pump air into your cylinders, (or put something else in there to keep the valves up), & change your valve seals. If that doesn't fix it, it's probably the rings - time for a rebuild.

Do a leakdown test before ripping your motor apart. It's usually your valve guide seals or piston rings anyway.
ok i did a compression test. here gots the following...
1=240 2=230 3=235 4=235 looks good, but im still burnig oil. ima do a leak down test sometime dis week. and see how that goes! any other sugestion?

I'd get that leakdown result before throwin your money into anything but I agree with swtprelude that it'll prolly be them valve seals.
dont beat the hell out of the car and i bet you wont burn a drop.................sorry all b-series engines use oil.............live with it.........

we know all b-series engine uses oil, matter of fact all engine uses oil i believe!! come on smart guy. if you just want to get ur post count up just put a smile!
any more info guys! i still havent got time to do the leak down test. but wut else can be the problem?
