Default Having a problem entering radio code

Hey everybody

CIVIC 1997 Coupe

Yesterday my battery went completely flat so I replaced it with a brand new one and now am experiencing the corollary of the radio anti-theft. So I check my glove-box and find 2 'Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card's, turn the key for internal power and try enter the code 63566 as per the cards. Nothing happens at all, I've repeated it many times. It doesn't lock up for an hour, but always remains as 'COdE'..

Any chance anyone would be able to help me with this issue I'm having with my radio?

I had the same problem with my 1994 Honda Accord when the dealership disconnected the battery. I didn't have the radio code in the car, so I entered it when I got home. It wouldn't take the code that was printed on the cards and it didn't beep like there was an error. So I disconnected the battery again for 30 seconds, reconnected the battery and tried again. This time it worked the first time.
