So I bought a Brand New 2011 Civic Sedan (the blue one) it was the best car for the price and I had always heard Hondas were reliable.

Anyways, is there anything I should Know about this car? are they pretty reliable?

I expect to get at least 150k out of the engine is this possible?

Anyways Is there any "Glaring" serious mechanical faults with these cars?
Like something thats "common" but very serious (aka expensive)

I was reading about the cracked engine block issue? Does that effect the 2010-2011 Hondas, or is it just the 2006-2008 ones, and is it even common? cause it sounded pretty serious (replacing an entire engine....wheww)

 

You won't have any problems. Don't loose a second of sleep over your purchase decision. It's too early to tell if there are common problems with your model year. I'm sure if there are, honda will fix them under warranty.

 

theres a lot of the cracked blocks out there but they don't effect the newer models, i have done my fair share of those motors, honda's quality i'm not going to lie i feel has slipped in the past few years but they are pretty good cars still.

 

Just got a 2010 black LX-S as well, love the feeling of a reliable car with great mileage. First thing i did was get rid of the chrome grill and put the black si grill on it!

You should probably have asked before you bought the car, but either way, you'll be fine! I just bought one as well.

 

Honda is reliable and definitely you can have 150 k, but only if you keep maintaining your car and take care of maintenance and repair of your car then it can easily cross 150.
