anyone know what could be wrong?
Okay I just went down the road for lunch and when I was on my way back my check engine light came on.... Okay not sure why but there are millions of reasons. Then about 2 mins later my tach dropped to 0 and stopped working... I didnt know if there is something that could be shorting out because of the heavy rain? I know this is kinda vague but I haven't had a chance to look at anything. Also how do I go about checking the code? Do I have to take it somewhere to get hooked up to the computer? Or buy one of the code readers.
It's a 92 Si4WS 5spd
Anyone have any Ideas with this little info I have?

On your drivers side by the gas pedal behind the center console there will be a test plug. It should be yellow, get a wire and cut off both sides so that wire is exposed and stick it in both sides of that test plug.
Its to the right of the little crane unit you see, its a yellow spec in the pic.
You will then turn your ign on to the 2nd position and watch your SRS light blink
1 long blink = 10
1 short blink = 1
2 long blinks and 4 short = code 24, you get the idea. find out what you get and post it, we'll take it from there
