1990 integra will not start with air fuel and spark help please
I have a 1990 4 door automatic integra im putting together for my little sister to drive to school and back.
completely stock.
fuel pump primes
dizzy has spark switched out resister box's
checked main relay and replaced with known good one
checked every fuse in the car, all are good.
all grounds are on it will crank over.
I squirt a solid stream of gas into the throttle body and dont get so much as a stumble.
it is on time I checked 3 seperate times.
ecu is the stock one that came with the cacr. throws code 6 because temp sensor is not plugged in. no vacuum leaks all factory lines are plugged in.
what am I missing people?
im going to check the valve lash tomorrow but I have not done a compression check yet.
it does have a fair amount of comp when I turn it over with ratchet. has new plugs also.

If you have compression, spark and fuel the engine should start.
Try this, try starting engine, 2-3 times, then right away remove a spark plug, is the plug "wet" with gas,does it smell of gas?
You said you have spark from distributor, "dizzy has spark", does that mean you have spark at the spark plugs, all 4 of them?94

I am having about the same problem, it all started by my car running 70 down the interstate then all of a sudden started bogging down and died and wouldnt start back up, had to get it towed home. I tried changing the distributor cap and rotor first and it started running again but would bog down real bad when you take off and going into different gears, and the distributor started making a squeling sound and ended up locking up in my garage, so now I have replaced the whole distributor, rotor, cap, plugs, plug wires, o2 sensor. The fuel pump sounds like its pumping when you turn the key and the main relay clicks 3 times like its suppose to. I can smell gas on the plugs, the timing is set right and I am getting great spark on all the plugs. I am baffled at why it will not start up, it turns over fine but will not start up. Any suggestions?
first I would get the cams and crank at their correct timing marks (tdc)I'd then remove the dizz cap and see if the rotor is pointing to where the #1 plug wires goes on the dizz cap and then proceed around making sure the firing order is what it should be. It could be that when you removed the dizz and wires maybe the firing order got put back differently.
I once had the issue where the car would idle fine but when I took off into diff gears the car would bog real bad,-turns out that the hose from the pcv to the breather box was torn and hanging by a thread once fixed it ran like a champ

I believe the problem is that when the dizzy locked up it threw the timing off because the marks on the camshafts were off, I realigned everything and put a new belt on. I am hoping that when I reassemble everything that my problem will be solved. Any suggestions or anything that i should look out for???
does your motor turnover but does not start. if so it could be your main rely those car always have that problem they go bad. there like 40 bucks from the dealer
Once you compression test it tomorrow if you have low or no compression in a cylinder before you get that little feeling in your stomach, back the rockers off your valves in that cylinder and then retest it. Happened on my buddys SI. Kid put valve seals in said he didn't adjust anything, had the head off like 5 times put new rings in and that was the problem ****ing valve lash. ahhhh
Well I got the timing all straightened back out, put everything back together and she purrs like a kitten now, Glad to have the Integra back up and running!
