Has Anyone Swapped Motor Mounts Without A Hoist?
I'm thinking I can put a support or jack under the engine, and change them out one at a time. Has anyone attempted this or found some other trick? I can't afford a lift at the moment but I'm itching to get my new mounts on ha ha!
Is there a certain order to go in that would make it easier?
Thanks!

i have used a 2x4, placed it underneath the pan and jacked it up slowly. worked for me without putting a dent. just make sure the jack isnt focused on one spot. try to distribute the weight.

I did it yesterday. Took out my mounts, let it sit overnight with a couple of pieces of plywood holding up the engine, had innovative press in new 75A bushings (lifetime warranty FTW) and popped them back it. It was cake.
Sorry, not meaning to continuously bump, but when changing them, is there a better order in which to swap them out? Thanks.
I absolutely HATE the front mount on the stock D motor.
The procedure includes removing the exhaust manifold to get at the bolt.
That's the one I would do first just to get it out of the way.
