you should have layed them out accordingly after you disassembled it, unless thats how you bought it.

That's how bought them so I'm guessing certain rocker arms belong in a specific place on the head

the bigger vtec arm goes in the middle and the two valve rocker for when ur not in vtec have two gold pins those sit inside the middle vtec rocker theres only one way they will fit in there correct positions. just put the two outer ones with gold pins so that the gold pins are in the vtec arm and put the rocker arm shaft in

I already knew the bigger rocker arm belongs in the middle but the two smaller ones are in fact different I need to know which one goes on the right or left and I keeping hearing about placing the rocker arm unit back to the same position it belonged in but I have no idea where it belongs if i bought the all scrambled up i just need to know if you do indeed in to place the rocker arm unit back to where the belonged originally or if what i heard was just to be on the safe side?...

in general, yes, rocker arms should be removed and placed back in their original position. for instance http://www.flickr.com/photos/1461693...n/photostream/ the rocker arms in the red circle belong to the number 4 cylinder on the intake side,, and the rocker arms in the blue circle belong to the number 1 cylinder on the exhaust side. Each set of rocker arms has a specific wear pattern so they should be re-installed where they were IF you know where they came from. And if not it wont break or ruin your engine technically. 2nd,, you can tell which outer rocker arm goes on which side by taking a close look at them. There is a little metal pin that sticks out on one side of the rocker arm, it only sticks out a quarter inch or so and is about the thickness of a push pin,, the side that has the little metal pin sticking out of it goes against the middle "VTEC" rocker arm, like so... http://www.flickr.com/photos/1461693...n/photostream/ ...let me know if this helped clear things up and feel free to ask me any questions you have.
