94 accord cel code 9 -searched
94 accord dx with f22b2 and chipped p06 ecu
I'm getting a code 9 for the cyp sensor, but it only happens after the engine reaches operating temperature. I've looked and the only things that I found that can trip code 9 are:
-cyp sensor
-ecu
-the wires connecting them
The sensor is fine, its within the accepted resistance range, and the wires are not shorting out or anything, they're fine. It only has a problem as soon as the car warms up so it all points to the ecu. I bought a used p06 from a junkyard and socketed it and swapped the chip over, and it throws a code 0 right away. It was a bad ecu, that was a waste of time. I also heard you could hit up the ecu with a heat gun to remelt the solder in case theres a intermittent connection somewhere. I might try this as a last resort, it sucks I can only drive for like 10 minutes every 2 hours.
So can anything else cause a code 9? I just want to check before I waste money on a another ecu.
