Default CEL code 8

I know a code #8 is the cylinder #1 TDC. This is the only code I am throwing. The sensor checks out with 375ohms and it is not shorted to ground. I have now checked the wiring back to the ECU but wanted to ask if anything else could cause this to happen??? The next step is to replace the ECU....

Anyone have any other ideas??? Also, will it hurt if I keep driving it with this code??

Thx

Check both TDC sensor-ECU wires for an open or short. If fine, the ECU may be bad. Try swapping in a known good ECU.
