Lowering my DA
Right now i have on crappy ebay coilovers on my car. i want to redo the suspension on it because it rides horribaly and i cant break em loose to lower it. i wanted to know if i should do coilover again or shocks with lowering springs. Also was brand to use and if you were to say lowering springs how low to go. my tires are 205/55/15.

How low you want to go is up to you. Eibach, H&R, Tein, etc. all have quality spring products. With springs, though, you'll have to deal with whatever ride height you get, whether it be uneven or whatever. With adjustable coilovers you can dial it in exactly. However adjustable coilovers tend to ride more harsh due to short, stiff, linear springs.
Koni Sport shocks paired with Koni-specific Ground Control coilover sleeves (Koni/GC combo) is one of the best bang for the buck setups you can get. LIFETIME warranty on all items to the original purchaser, for around $800. My Koni shocks are 9 years old now with almost 200K miles on them and they're still working great.

Ksport fully adjustable standard coilovers are an awesome bang for your buck option.
about $650 and they are dampening adjustable and the lower mount is used for height adjustment as well as the spring perches so you can retain full shock travel...
the koni's are great but you can't keep the shock travel if you go low unless you get the ground control top hats to go with them. and those are very hard to find.
if I were you I would go with something like the ksports or D2's or function and forms best bang for the buck.
also I suggest getting these for an eg or dc2 and pick up a set of lower front forks from either the eg or dc2

KSport over Koni/GC
I'm pretty sure the GC top hats are NOT that hard to find. There are sponsors selling them here on H-T. Yes you lose shock travel if you get super slammed. But the only thing the top hats are going to do is allow the upper control arms to smash into the shock towers.
I guarantee Koni/GC will outlast KSports and probably Function/Forms also, every time.
