What would be best to install on my 97 civic springs or coilovers? And what kind of brand should I go with? Thanks guys

If I could do my car's suspension all over again, I would go with this one. Buying new shocks or springs/coilover sleeves is not as much as this but overall later in life your gonna want something new with better performance and comfort. Don't cheap yourself out.

its up to you. if you want to adjust ride height often or change the dampening of it get coilovers. spring/shocks don't give you many options. i get 1-4 and no change in height.
they'll cost about the same depending on what you get.

a decent coilover can be had for 6-800.
a really nice spring/shock can be had for about 4-800.
my AGX and eibach pro-line costed about 650 shipped. plus my new LCAs were another 200.

i personally love my setup but i've never driven coilovers for an extended period of time.

There are more coilover options it seems like. The Ground Control coilovers use the ERS springs that you can buy separate and those can be changed out and switched front to back and back to front. Actually, you can get eBay coilovers for the perches and get the ERS springs cheaper if you want to do this cheaper. Anyway, say you have some 6k and 8k springs installed and want to go 8k and 10k, just have to buy the 10k springs and move the 8k springs. This is purely an example, but you get the idea. This allows some options to play with if you race or put in a heavier motor or whatever.

Few people are going to change their ride height unless they go through the whole phase of wanting to slam their car. I'd start by looking at pictures and asking around what springs will put it at what height and what combinations are good. Such as how the Ground Control and Koni combination is a good one.

Keep in mind that full springs are usually progressive and will ride nicer than coilovers since they're just straight linear. Actually, a guy I knew had some Integra Type R springs and his car sat pretty nice...but that's beside the point.
-----------------------
For my suspension, I just got the typical Koni/GC combo. with shelf springs. You can order others, but the typical ones they ship are pretty good for a DD. If I were to do it again, I'd get the some non-adjustable shocks and some regular springs to get a 1-1 1/2" drop, just to save some money since I see no point in adjusting any of it.

I seen a lot of people online here using the Koni/GC combo and majority of them are happy with it but I believe the cost is just gonna be right around what I posted on there. Maybe just a 100 dollars cheaper but i probably prefer getting the whole unit.

these suspension prices seem rediculas compared to other parts.

sorry new to the civic world. I but a '97 ek coupe that has lowering springs. I want a nice ride as a daily driver at around factory height (doesn't have to be exact, just not "lowered")

not trying to hijack, just trying to get answers myself aswell as gather more info for Tito

i personally like the tokico whites with gc's...... ground control is really the bang for the buck as far as quality since they use an allen crush collar instead of spanner locks.... shocks are user choice ive never went wrong on whites though

gc's are 300 my, tokico whites were 450

Shock and springs. Unless you're tracking it, I don't recommend coilovers.

A buddy of mine had coils, and he took them off because it was too bumpy.
