Default EM1 fuel and temp gauges don't work

The fuel and temp gauges in my EM1 don't work for some reason. The fuel stays at fuel ALL the time and my temp gauge stays on hot all the time except when I turn off the car, the temp gauge drops all the way down. I checked all the fuses and everything and can't figure out the problem. Would a new fuel/temp gauge fix my problem? It's like $50 from Honda. Would be cheaper instead of buying the whole cluster.

Sounds like there's a short in the wires running from the cluster to the ECT sending unit and the fuel sending unit. Use your multimeter to test those two wires for a short.
