aftermarket fuel injectors with factory ecu
im rebuilding my engine and i found a set of fuel injectors for cheap. im planning on going turbo after i run the car n/a for a bit.. ie break-in procedure
will the aftermarket injectors work fine with a stock ecu? the car needs to be started then towed to a tuner but I'm not going to start the car with the obd2 ecu and load a base map just to start it.
ill swap in the obd1 + harness once im leaving for tuning

no they will not, the stock ecu only knows how to run one time of injector, the fuel injector battery offsets will be wrong, and the car will run pig rich since they are bigger then the OEM injectors
Wont work unless you have a chipped ECU and recalibrate for increased injector size.
How big are the injectors you are looking to buy?

i got a great deal on id1000 injectors, there more than enough but I found them for 300 bucks
if you tried to start the car on 1000cc injectors you would just flood it out instantly and it would never run lol thats like trying to spray a fire hose with fuel in your engine
oh and to give you an idea of what im talking about, starting my car on the factory ecu tune with 420cc injectors installed, my AFR is 9:1 at idle
