getting the most out of my stock engine
Ok I can't afford a swap so I'm trying to work with what I have. I did intake and exhaust but I'm looking for good headers bsides hi tech. I'm gonna do hondata but what else can I do without swaps. Any ideas I might even do fame but I dunno
Well, you may want to look here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/faqs-guidelines-read-before-posting-2101211/
Basic bolt-ons do nothing for the D17. Even with a high quality intake/header/exhaust combination... you'll net less then 5hp at the wheels. For over $1,000 spent, it's rather terrible return on investment. To try and get a little out of the engine, I'd recommend piecing together a turbo setup and running K-Pro. For about $2,500... you'll see an easy 40+whp reliably, with a good tune.

what about an aftermarket cam?? but ya i agree....i did pretty much all the bolt ons and it didn't do any good....my recomendation, use your car as a show car...i mean 40+ hp with a turbo is cool but for the price, wouldn't u rather just save up for a swap...?? idk..thats just my opinion..
hy tech doesnt make a k-series header...i used would recommend the new skunk2 megapower series or buddy club header or if you wanna stay on the cheaper side a KRRH would be best...
you can do other mods too to build more power such as valvetrain, good set of cams, maybe some higher compression pistons....
qik power, i'd say a JRSC....most everything i have mentioned you will need kpro or haltech tuning software for
