yea. you need to google pics of the rods then it should be pretty obvious..
a-beam rods are light weight for reduced rotating mass, mostly used in all motor apps where revving faster is needed and ultimate power production isnt the goal.
h-beam are pretty much the standard rod everyone uses, cheap(ish) and support decent power goals... pretty durable.
x-beam are for all out power nuts whose motors will see extreme abuse, pauter features x-beam rods exclusively iirc. not cheap compared to the other options.
